Season ticket holders are voting members of Grundy County Friends of the Arts Council.

An all-volunteer local Board of Directors elected (3 year terms) by the Council meets monthly to perform the business of the Council.

Approximately 8-10 performances of varied art forms are provided each season (September to April).

North Central Missouri College partners with GCFOA in an agreement to allow NCMC students (with valid ID) free admission to all programs.

GCFOA supports education by sponsoring at least one program or assembly in our schools each year.

Our funding comes from ticket sales, the Missouri Arts Council, and from donations of individuals and area businesses.

Missouri Arts Council funding comes through grant applications filled out by our administrator. It varies from year to year, according to the funding MAC receives and at the discretion of the MAC members who approve our grants.

Missouri Arts Council is a government agency under the governance of the Missouri Department of Economic Development and the Missouri Legislature.

GCFOA books programs that are sponsored by:

GCFOA also books programs of varied interests for our patrons from our own funding resources, such as corporate sponsors, previous year's ticket sales and school districts (when program is in a school).

The Board of Directors work very hard to keep ticket prices reasonable (averaging less than $2 per program per person for a season ticket) and affordable for all.

In-kind donations of food, products and services, in areas when/where we have need, are an important contribution and are treated as donations at the dollar value level.
